Tanis is correct. To Whom? Zell is an example of a pawn shop.

--How much does firelance sell for? (Tanis says you can't sell firelance anywhere.)

I think its 150 to Zell (probably 180 to Wenzel). As I recall, the firelance is cursed when it drops, which is why you can't sell it to anybody. I forget exactly how I did it once, but I believe one can get the curse taken off the weapon and then sell it to the shop. It may take a fire warrior to wield it and “remove” the curse at the monk (its been a long time since I decursed one, not 100%)

Acorn sells for 4 at Zell's pawnshop.

How much does firelance sell for? (Tanis says you can't sell firelance anywhere.)

David is correct, when you find a firelance, it is already cursed. In order to sell it, you need to cast the fire spell “mundane” on it to remove the curse.

How much does granite staff sell for? To who? (Tanis says its 800 gold, sold in pawnshops)

The granite staff sells for 850 at Izalig's magic shop.

How much do shield spells increase protection?

I have been keeping a log of my experiences while leveling, and what things hit me for, and what element I am at the time. This log is so that when I level other characters of other elements/types, I can say, “oh, a tiger shark hit my level 26 earth warrior as high as 600 per attack” and then based on that information consider whether or not I want to engage on my other character.

I have kept extensive records on the effects of aquashield, and have found that when self-cast or cast on another, it consistently reduces damage by 50% (opposite element is factored into this). So normal damage is a damage multiplier of 1.0x when fighting a neutral element (neither your own or the opposite). Opposite element does 1.5x against you, and your own element does 0.5x against you (or half). The shield reduces the multiplier by 0.5, and it has NO EFFECT when shielding against your own element (so stoneshield will not help an earth player further against earth). So shielded, the opposite element does 1.0x against you instead of 1.5, and neutral elements do 0.5x against you instead of 1.0x.

I am not 100% tested on this, but I am under the belief/think that there are damage increases associated with shields also. For example, an air player could shield against water. He could then travel to the fire domain, and his aquashield INCREASES the fire damage taken to 1.5 (as though he were a water character!). Can anyone confirm this?

How long does FURY last in a room?

A very good question. I do know that fury will stack. If you go through about 3-4 inventories of a full rack of potions each, you can literally cast dozens upon dozens of furies in a room. Anyone who walks in will die instantly when all the stacked furies go off. This was a particularly nasty one when summoning a person to the jail, anchoring them, running out and slamming the door. One exuberant fellow apparently killed himself in the process as well as his quarry. A heavily stacked fury room can be a dangerous bit of business, for the caster as well. I don't know if karma is linked to fury, actually, since I was never this much a jerk. But if it is, low level alternates could deliberately and repeatedly invade the furied room to suicide so as to trip someone's karma and get them killed by Queyan.
