Nearly all of the volumes you chose had something to say about this spell. Very little of the references were written by magic users of Fire, who are the only ones who can use the spell. The majority of the text seems instead to be about what to do if you should find this spell cast upon you. The spell is for combat, and will cause temporary blindness in the target with the application of a bright orange flash. The notes suggest that warriors without a curative potion flee the scene of the attack if blinded, although it mentions that even without sight it is possible to still hit the magic user. For magic users, the notes mainly suggest the application of an area effect spell, among a few other creative tactics.
